I don’t think it’s because we are beginning a new calendar year that at this time we reflect on the events of our life and where we want to go from here. I truly believe that it is because created matter in all forms are renewed in their purest, authentic Source Who came to earth and by doing so was, and is forever, intertwined in matter and essence with us.

Creation…in its living threads that connect us all, remembers this. Like each season knows its time, the earth and its inhabitants remember when their Creator came amongst them. Before Christ came amongst us, humans mindful of a new year looked upon their survival thus far and reflected on the perpetual labors that lay ahead once again. After Christ came amongst us, a spiritual breath filled matter and enlivened hearts, giving them a more powerful pull toward the eternal. A spiritual response to the physical world.

It makes no difference what opinion, belief or unbelief you have in Christ…no one can deny that love is what we all attain for. In many ways. Despite our different opinions or views, it’s the same in its effortless, natural, uneducated, childlike form. Love is every humans first, inner most innocence. And regardless of how careless or mean our behaviors may become, it is a living part of each person. And such a universal pull in each heart, past and present…with the certainty that it will live on, cannot be denied a Source of the same unending quality.

As we reflect upon the past and look to the future…and as hope is either eager or struggles to strengthen our wills, let us first realize that we cannot love one another without first acknowledging that we are loved.  We are loved by One. There is a unity that we all know exists…the Unity lives. Without any decision on our part, it is. It is Love. And He is God.

Love’s Time

Love, in all its forms…be it as a mother and child, lovers or as a believer…love never ceases to astound me. No matter if we seem to think we’ve got it figured out or whether we think we’re never going to know what it is…whether we search and yearn for it or push it away, it’s Source flows infinitely. And we will never cease looking or regretting or trying to perfect it. Timing…the intricate collaboration of God and man, teaches us the lessons of love. It truly does.

Timing is Everything~ Garrett Hedlund:

Bearer of Life

It has been said that the position of woman is the test of civilization, and that of our women was secure. In them was vested our standard of morals and the purity of our blood.

Link in a Chain

God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons.

He has not created me for naught. I shall do good; I shall do His work.

I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place, while not intending it if I do but keep His commandments.

Therefore, I will trust Him, whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him, in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me. Still, He knows what He is about.

Press On

Education will not (take the place of persistence); the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

-Calvin Coolidge
